Last week, MAGNET's ACCESS to Manufacturing Careers program graduated 20 candidates who are now prepared for their future in manufacturing. The program includes three weeks of job readiness skills and technical competencies. Individuals placed in manufacturing jobs after ACCESS have an average starting wage of $17.83/hour. Graduation featured a previous program participant, Stacie Woods, sharing her experience of completing the class and obtaining a job at Talan Products. Stacie shared with the class, “I came from prison, where you always think there is no hope. But this program showed me that there is hope. You can change your life. Manufacturing is going to change the world.”
