Michael O’Donnell has more than 30 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing consulting. Since joining MAGNET in 2000, he has helped companies with lean, operations, and product development challenges. O’Donnell has also played an instrumental role in developing new consulting methods, training simulations, and workshops for use in a variety of businesses, and he continues to champion continuous improvement and total quality programs across Northeast Ohio. O’Donnell holds a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan as well as an MBA from the University of Richmond.
Robert Schmidt Senior Growth and Innovation Advisor
Bob Schmidt has over 30 years of hands-on experience in diverse manufacturing environments. Since joining MAGNET two decades ago, he has been responsible for the management and delivery of various growth services for NEO manufacturers and fostered rewarding partnerships in Wayne, Ashland, and Richland counties. He was previously employed as an application engineer by Eaton, where he developed and tested new technology for high-performance automobile engines. Schmidt holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Cleveland State University.

Ed Nolan Vice President, Engineering and Product Development
With more than 40 years of engineering and program management experience in manufacturing, industrial outreach, and high-tech service industry, Ed Nolan has been instrumental in developing MAGNET’s current product development structure and helped develop the innovation Partnership for Regional Innovation Services to Manufacturers (PRISM) program. Prior to joining MAGNET, he led numerous large-scale engineering programs, including the initiative from Westinghouse Electric Corporation that defueled the damaged Three Mile Island nuclear reactor. In addition to a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University, Nolan earned a certificate in Management and Leadership from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Reed Stith Senior Growth Advisor, Marketing and Sales
Reed is an experienced marketing and strategy veteran that understands the role of marketing in growing product organizations. As a marketing and sales advisor with MAGNET, he helps small and mid-size manufacturing companies research and implement CRM systems, provides coaching and best practices regarding sales accountability, conducts market research, and develops new distribution channels to help take your company to the next level. Prior to joining MAGNET, Reed was employed by Lazorpoint and Parker Hannifin, where he directed policies and coordinated marketing activities for 8 divisions; included branding, literature, management of trade shows, advertising, video production and distributor growth programs. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.

Bob Baxendale has more than 40 years of experience in manufacturing, management, and consulting. Prior to joining MAGNET in 2016, he served as Director of Automotive Consulting at Teradata, where he supported business development, developed key client strategies, and worked with clients like General Motors, Hyundai, Ford, and Nissan. He has also held various consulting, marketing, and operations positions with BearingPoint, KPMG, UNISYS, and Eaton. Baxendale holds an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University and currently serves as Treasurer and Special Olympics Coach for the Strongsville City Club.

Matt Sinclair is a growth advisor and relationship development strategist with nearly a decade of experience serving clients. Prior to joining MAGNET, Matt spent seven years with a global consulting and services firm serving global and local clients of varying size. During his consulting career, Matt has served the resources, products and healthcare industries with specific focus in chemicals, mining, forest products, agriculture and food & beverage. He has dedicated his efforts towards operations, manufacturing and digital supply chain, as well as led programs in innovation, third party and contract manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, digital customer experience and engagement, growth and strategic planning. Outside of MAGNET, Matt actively engages in nonprofit leadership. He is the incoming president of the Rainbow Babies and Children’s Foundation Associate Board and an active partner at Social Venture Partners.
Michael Vincent has more than 30 years of experience in operations improvement, consulting, and process innovation. Prior to joining MAGNET in 2013, he served as regional sales director for the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (the state’s MEP affiliate) and worked as a sales engineer for MTS Systems in Minneapolis. He also spent three decades in the automotive industry, including positions at Val Oil, Caterpillar, MTS, and Fruehauf.

With over 25 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing, Joe Vinciquerra has developed, sold, and delivered various growth and innovation services to companies in Northeast Ohio. Before joining the MAGNET team in 2016, he worked as a sales director and senior application engineer for Water Star Inc., a company specializing in the innovation, development, and manufacture of precious metal coated titanium anodes. Joe is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
