Bowden Manufacturing Starts NEO Lighthouse Tours with Focus on Machine Monitoring System

Our region is loaded with manufacturers of all sizes that have been incrementally investing in all types of Industry 4.0 to improve product output and quality, many of them having just recently made technological additions to their shop floor. In partnership with the Smart Manufacturing Cluster led by Team NEO, MAGNET recently launched a series of Northeast Ohio Manufacturing Lighthouse Tours. Lighthouses are manufacturers who have implemented some form of Industry 4.0 and are willing to share their experiences with other manufacturers looking to do the same. The tours successfully launched at Bowden Manufacturing in Willoughby, with its president Andy McCartney generously sharing his time, advice and the opportunities technology has given his company. Sector Partnership to Receive Funds from OMA
Good Jobs Grant

The Ohio Manufacturers​ Association was awarded a $23.5 million grant as part of the EDA's Good Jobs Challenge program to promote economic recovery post-pandemic and train thousands of new manufacturing workers. This is incredible for the entire Ohio manufacturing industry, including Workforce Connect Manufacturing Sector Partnership - Cuyahoga County, which will receive a portion of the funds for recruiting and upskilling manufacturing workers. The EDA, the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition and MAGNET each distributed a press release about this great news!
