Job Summary

MAGNET’s Associate Growth Advisors are privy to a valuable growth and development opportunity that is unique in the consulting industry. MAGNET is committed not only to providing a hands-on mentorship and coaching experience, but also to providing our Associate Growth Advisors with the chance to interface with clients daily while developing client relationship management skills. MAGNET Associate Growth Advisors are immediately asked to contribute significantly to MAGNET projects and are encouraged to develop their broad and deep consulting skills while shaping their career path.

As an Associate Growth Advisor, you’ll be helping our clients address their biggest challenges and obstacles hindering their growth. You will gain cross-industry experience while building a diverse set of core consulting skills, such as business analysis, process improvement, and technical expertise. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple disciplines, with an emphasis on strategic planning, engineering services, product development & launch, operations & distribution, quality, sales & marketing, and workforce retention and development.

This role focuses on your personal and professional growth, challenging you to stretch your boundaries and achieve your greatest potential at a rate unparalleled in other entry-level roles.

Essential Functions

  • Support and collaborate with fellow MAGNET colleagues and clients to develop strategic, tactical, and financial plans for your clients based on their identified goals.
  • Work with MAGNET team members and clients to understand how their operations and/or business processes work today, identify areas for improvement, and create process maps to demonstrate how changes will help them reach their goals.
  • Collaborate with Senior Growth Advisors to deliver unique solutions to clients across disciplines, including facility operations, marketing and sales, business growth strategy, and product innovation.
  • Assist in developing change management and organizational plans as well as assisting clients in pivoting to their future business state.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods to derive actionable insights, patterns, and outcomes for clients.
  • Apply a consultative approach in providing coaching to clients; perform and manage the delivery of projects utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Support the development of new strategies to serve clients collaboratively with other MAGNET colleagues based on direct feedback from Northeast Ohio manufacturing companies.
  • Perform project management activities, such as tracking deliverables, creating status reports, managing resource plans and monitoring successful achievement of project goals.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-5 years’ experience – which could include relevant experience gained through an internship or co-op - working in a professional setting involving structured problem solving and/or team-oriented work.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong relationship development, nurturing and management skills.

Minimum Job Requirements (Preferred)

  • Hands-on experience within manufacturing.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and/or IIOT.
  • Experience with varied business cultures, industries, and workforce needs.
