'I Need to Find, Train and Retain Good People'

Manufacturing Success Depends on a Skilled and Flexible Workforce

In July 2011, MAGNET launched a unique pilot project to help connect returning U.S. veterans with manufacturing jobs in Northeast Ohio. The project's official name is "Career Assistance for Returning Veterans." Learn more.

Finding, training and retaining the employees you need isn’t a part-time challenge—it’s a full-time concern. Manufacturers have seen the writing on the wall. The average age of the manufacturing workforce is over 55—many of these very talented and highly skilled workers will soon be retiring and need to be replaced. Your success depends on a skilled and flexible workforce. MAGNET collaborates with many partners throughout the region and state to assure a qualified talent pool capable of filling the looming skills gap.

MAGNET helps manufacturers with current workforce issues, and also helps them carry the exciting message about the solid future for manufacturing to smart young people, encouraging them to become the industry’s workforce of tomorrow. Use the links at the right to learn more about the workforce and talent development resources available from MAGNET.
