The Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network , Inc. (” MAGNET”) supports, educates and champions manufacturing in Northeast Ohio. We are the service provider for the national Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program serving 18 counties in northeastern Ohio as part of the Ohio MEP.

MAGNET is seeking a full-time Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to perform front office reception and administration duties. This hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Vice President of Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the main phone line; answering or referring inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provides information to visitors regarding MAGNET mission, services and successes in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories and giving instructions.
  • Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook and issuing visitor badges.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Maintains clean and organized reception area.
  • Provides administrative support for Finance and Administration including mailing invoices and accounts payable checks, maintaining employee absence records, and preparing and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing administrative support in a professional office environment is required
  • Demonstrable skill in Microsoft Office Suite of products required (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • CRM database proficiency (Salesforce, Mavenlink preferred)

Work Hours: This hourly position requires 40 hours per week, with the ability to occasionally work additional hours as dictated by office schedule including, rarely, evenings and early mornings.
