The Growth & Innovation Advisor will be responsible for assisting manufacturing clients with their needs for growth and innovation through engineering services, product development & launch, operations & distribution, quality, sales & marketing, and workforce. He or she will provide consulting, growth coaching, and leadership support to clients by engaging C-level executives in deep and strategic conversations that result in executable growth plans. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the region while working with a dynamic and creative group of professionals.
Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Building the portfolio of clients by prospecting and vetting regional manufacturers that are interested in partnering with our client for growth opportunities and measuring and meeting the economic impact targets of the portfolio.
Promoting our client’s capabilities, services and role in facilitating the growth of area manufacturers.by networking in the community and presenting at events to demonstrate the importance of manufacturing in the region.
Applying a consultative approach in providing growth coaching and leadership to their clients. He/she will also manage the delivery of growth services via internal and external resources.
Advising manufacturers on a wide range of topics that address their need for growth and innovation.
The ideal candidate will posess a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred). He/she will also have a successful track record of solutions based consulting with small to mid-sized manufacturers ($5M-$200M), and interacting at all levels in an organization from shop floor to C Suite.
Additional qualifications include prior experience with:
Hands-on manufacturing with progressive levels of responsibility over multiple functions
Building long-term working relationships with manufacturers, community partners, and for-profit entities
Utilizing needs analysis skills to determine consulting opportunities
Leading teams to execute simple to complex growth projects
Experience analyzing and balancing the risk vs. benefits in decision-making
Effecting change management
Using business acumen across a range of functions
Developing and managing partnerships and joint ventures
Knowledge of the region’s manufacturing industry and the issues companies are facing
With varied business cultures and workforce needs, and a knowledge of the affect each may have on growth planning and execution
