Manufacturers who export now have access to a new state grant that offers up to $15,000 for qualified expenses. The Ohio SBA and NEOTAC-ITAC urge Northeast Ohio manufacturers to apply for a 2013 IMAGE grant (Ohio International Market Access Grant for Exporters). The grant can be used for trade shows and missions, export promotion services provided by the U.S. Commercial Service, international marketing and technical translation services, export education programs. The application deadline is September 30, 2013, but funds are being disbursed on a first-come, first-serve basis! So find out how to apply without delay! 

Agreements Commit Institutions to Work Cooperatively and Jointly  to Help Manufacturers Pursue Innovative Growth Strategies Through MAGNET’s PRISM Program

Youngstown, Ohio—April 24, 2013—Youngstown State University (YSU) and the Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network (MAGNET) today announced that they have signed a cooperative agreement that will enable small to mid-size manufacturers in the Mahoning Valley to gain easier access to the research capabilities, hard assets and world-class knowledge and technological capabilities based at YSU and four other institutions of higher learning in Northeast Ohio.

The agreement commits YSU, Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, Lorain County Community College and the University of Akron to further economic development in the region by helping manufacturers pursue innovative growth strategies through MAGNET’s Partnership for Regional Innovation Services to Manufacturers (PRISM) program.
