Promise Partners, a Northeast Ohio non-profit focused on helping entrepreneurial people go from employee to business owner, will be hosting the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) Symposium on October 27 at the Tinkham Veale Center at Case Western Reserve University. Since the organization’s founding, Promise Partners has supported 60 Clevelanders who have purchased more than 80 businesses by leveraging this proven approach.  

ETA is the path to becoming a business owner by buying and growing an established small business. For individuals with business skills and a desire to make a meaningful impact, this can be less risky than starting a new business around an unproven product or service. Existing business owner attendees will learn strategies to use this approach to unlock advanced growth and recruiting strategies. 

At this inaugural ETA, Promise Partners will coalesce current business owners, leaders who have a goal of owning their own business and experts in the local acquisition ecosystem to highlight this proven strategy. The half-day program will feature general sessions about ETA and breakout sessions for each audience in an interactive format. Learn about private business valuation and the buy/sell process, including best practices for current and aspiring business owners.

The goal of the event is to connect 200 business owners and potential business owners to share our playbook and success stories of our 60 members who have purchased more than 80 companies over the last 30 years. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
